Sienna Dahlen

Juno-award winning vocalist, Sienna Dahlen is a multi-instrumentalist, educator and songwriter/composer of jazz and other styles of creative music. She has had the immense pleasure of performing her music for audiences throughout most of Europe, parts of the US, Mexico, Argentina and across Canada. In 2014, Sienna and Montreal guitarist, Mike Rud garnered a Juno for the album, Notes on Montreal in the category of “Vocal Jazz Album of the Year”. Dahlen’s voice can also be heard throughout the soundtrack of the Academy Award-winning film, “The Danish Poet” (Torill Kove/Kevin Dean).

Sienna’s current album as a leader (set for release in the fall of 2016) is entitled,
“Ice Age Paradise” and is dedicated to the singer’s mother, Sharon Dahlen who passed away suddenly in 2013. The featured rhythm section on the album is Andrew Downing (double bass and arrangements), Nick Fraser (drums), Thom Gill (guitar), Jennifer Burford (violin), Evan Lamberton (cello), Lief Mosbaugh (oboe/English horn), Micajah Sturgess (French horn), Lina Allemano (trumpet), as well as guests Kevin Breit (acoustic guitars and banjo) and Laine Dahlen (background vocals).
